Elsa Science receives Competence Enhancement Funding to take their service to the USA

Elsa Science, which was recently awarded funding under our Small Business Skills Enhancement call, is developing a digital platform for rheumatic disease management that is completely free to the user. It has previously received funding through us to develop its service even further in collaboration with behavioural scientists. We rang up Pelle (Per) Frank (Almquist), one of the founders of Elsa Science, to offer our congratulations and find out what they are planning next.

”Thank you, it’s really great once again to receive this vote of confidence in our work! What we will use the funds for is to develop a regulatory strategy for the US market with the help of experts in the field. The ultimate goal is FDA approval for our service while at the same time enhancing our own expertise for future regulatory work.”

And it is indeed a pressing problem that Elsa Science is working on. According to EULAR (European League Against Rheumatism), rheumatic diseases affect more individuals than any other disease group in the industrialised world. They state that one third of all people, of all ages, are affected at some point in their lives.

We wish Elsa Science the best of luck and hope to report back shortly with good news about their US market launch!
