Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from all of us at Medtech4Health!
As we close 2024, we do so with joy and pride after reviewing the nine-year evaluation of Medtech4Health. The evaluation focuses on the last three years, up to 2023, but also reflects on the programme’s development since its inception in 2015. It provides encouraging reading for everyone working in the medical technology sector.
Medtech4Health has brought greater visibility and recognition to the medical technology sector, strengthened the innovation system, accelerated the innovation processes for many companies, and fostered collaboration across stakeholder boundaries. At the same time, we have contributed to enhanced innovation capacity in healthcare and improved opportunities for cooperation between companies, academia, and public actors.
The evaluation concludes that Medtech4Health is a well-managed programme that has significantly advanced the sector since its start! A heartfelt thank you to everyone who has contributed to the programme in various ways over the years, especially the 450 projects that form the foundation for the future of healthcare.
Looking back at 2024, we cherish the countless inspiring meetings with our partners, innovators, researchers, healthcare and social care providers, companies, and innovation support actors.
Now, we’re taking a well-deserved break over the holidays to recharge for an exciting 2025. Next year, we aim to further strengthen our connections within the Swedish medical technology ecosystem, driving increased implementation through even stronger collaboration and partnerships. We look forward to continuing the networking and knowledge exchange that have been key to our success in creating favourable conditions for the sector and enhancing Sweden’s global competitiveness.
A big thank you to everyone who has participated in our events and meetings, or who has dedicated time, energy, and commitment to developing tools, training, and knowledge this year. Special thanks to my colleagues at the Programme Office, the Programme Council, and the Board for helping us achieve another successful year.
See you in 2025!

Programme Director, Medtech4Health
