Focus on medical technology innovation at the EIC Forum
EIC Healthcare Investor Day attracted both Swedish companies and investors to Paris. There, they had the opportunity to pitch their business ideas and products, as well as build on the European network.
”It was particularly exciting to see how the majority of the companies pitching were based on medical technology innovations. And how a number of Swedish medical technology companies and investors were actually there. The strong presence of medical technology reflects the international success of our sector – not least the Swedish one,” says Lena Strömberg, programme director for Medtech4Health, who participated in EIC Healthcare Investor Day.
Medtech4Health, together with the European Alliance of Medical and Biological Engineering and Science (EAMBES), is part of the EIC’s service platform. The platform is aimed at small and medium-sized companies that have received funding from the EIC.
In addition to funding, the EIC gives medical technology companies access to a network of companies and organisations that can contribute services in research, development and consulting.
