Zenicor received funding for competence enhancement

The first recipients have been announced of this year’s Call for Funding Applications under Competence Enhancement for Small Businesses. Stockholm-based Zenicor Medical Systems AB will receive funding for their MDR adaptation of systems for digitized arrhythmia diagnostics.

”We warmly welcome Zenicor to our project portfolio,” says Jenny Christensson, project manager at Medtech4Health. ”At the same time, we would like to remind other small companies they can participate in our next drop-in session, which will take place before the next application period closes on 27 May.”

In the Competence Enhancement Call, small companies have the opportunity to strengthen their company’s competence by employing external expertise for a limited period. Projects applying for funding should be working to develop an innovative medical technology idea that can radically improve the clinical outcome and/or streamline healthcare. The intention should be that the product idea will be implemented and utilised.

”The first application period for 2021 has closed and the projects in receipt of support have been chosen,” Jenny Christensson continues. ”But we offer four opportunities to apply for funding during the year. If you have a small company that works with medical-technological innovation, and you need to strengthen your organisation temporarily with external expertise, you are welcome to our next digital drop-in session on 17 May at 11:00.”
