Describe your company
MediTuner is a Swedish digital health company developing evidence-based solutions for the management of chronic respiratory diseases such as asthma and COPD. Our vision is to enable proactive, data-driven care that improves patient outcomes while reducing healthcare workload. The company operates at the intersection of clinical research, digital therapeutics and remote patient monitoring, with national reimbursement in Sweden and growing international collaborations.
Describe your product/solution
AsthmaTuner is a CE-marked (Class IIb) medical device platform that enables patients to measure lung function at home and receive instant, individualized treatment recommendations based on clinical guidelines and real-time data. Healthcare professionals can remotely monitor patients, detect deterioration early and proactively adjust treatment. The platform integrates connected spirometry, symptom tracking and clinical decision support to enable structured remote care.
What problem are you addressing?
Chronic respiratory diseases such as asthma and COPD affect hundreds of millions of people globally and place a significant burden on healthcare systems. Many patients are undertreated or receive delayed adjustments to therapy, leading to preventable exacerbations, hospital visits and reduced quality of life. Healthcare providers also face increasing workloads and limited resources. There is a need for scalable solutions that enable proactive management and earlier intervention.
What impact does your solution create?
AsthmaTuner enables earlier detection of deterioration and more precise treatment adjustments. Clinical studies and real-world implementation have shown improved disease control, reduced need for acute care and more efficient use of healthcare resources. Healthcare professionals can monitor patients remotely, reducing unnecessary visits and saving time. High patient retention rates (>80% after five years in routine care) demonstrate sustained value and engagement. The solution supports more accessible, data-driven care at scale.
What stage of commercialisation are you currently in?
MediTuner is in a commercial growth phase, with established sales and national reimbursement in Sweden. The solution is implemented across multiple healthcare regions and is expanding within primary care. We are also scaling internationally through clinical collaborations and market entry activities in Europe and the United States.
What are you currently seeking to take the next step?
We are seeking strategic partnerships with healthcare providers, research institutions and international collaborators to support further clinical validation and implementation. In parallel, we are engaging with investors to accelerate international expansion, product development and integration into healthcare systems in new markets.
What market potential do you see for your solution?
Respiratory diseases represent a large and growing global market driven by aging populations and the increasing prevalence of chronic disease. Remote patient monitoring and digital therapeutics are rapidly expanding healthcare segments. Our platform is scalable across healthcare systems and adaptable to additional chronic conditions, creating significant potential for national and international growth.
